Teachers look forward to their breaks, and what better way to enjoy a break than to travel the world? In the last four years, this traveling teacher and her husband have been to many different places including Fiji, Malta, Hawaii, New York, Barbados, New Zealand, California and Mexico, just to name a few.
Traveling has always been something that I’ve loved because I enjoy experiencing new cultures, eating exotic food and meeting and connecting with new people. As a child, my parents could not afford to take me on vacations. Instead, my efforts were focused on school, getting a job, finding my prince and starting a family. After many years of success in the corporate world, I decided to focus my efforts on helping others through this little blog that perhaps no one will read.
How Can You Afford To Travel?
Well, it’s no shocker that teachers do not make a lot of money. We are actually quite poor when you figure in all the hours of work we put into our jobs. Because my husband is a financial advisor with Edward Jones, a top financial firm in the U.S., we have been afforded the opportunity to vacation through their Travel Awards Program. This programs is only offered to experienced financial advisors that serve their clients deeply and help them work toward their financial goals, so it’s an honor and a privilege to be a part of this program.
