It’s winter. I know. But I live in Louisiana and it is honestly 77 degrees outside in December. The ice cream truck parades the neighborhood all year long down here. Anyways, I firmly believe that you can enjoy a nice chocolate bliss smoothie any time of year. So crank up the heat (in the gym, I mean) and get blending!
I don’t know about you, but after a hard workout my body craves a delicious smoothie packed with protein to help rebuild muscle. A smoothie is a great quick meal or snack option — just combine your ingredients in a blender, pour into a glass, and savor the healthy goodness. This smoothie is called chocolate bliss because once you taste it, you will think you are sipping a chocolate milkshake. It is just that good!
This is what you will need to make this chocolate bliss smoothie:
1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
1 scoop of your favorite chocolate protein powder
1 ripe banana
1 Tbsp of your favorite nut butter
6-8 cubes of ice, depending on your consistency preference
1 pinch of ground cinnamon
What’s even better is that you can create different variations of your favorite smoothies simply by adding or modifying some of the ingredients to suit your taste buds. - 1 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 scoop of your favorite chocolate protein powder
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 Tbsp of almond butter
- 6-8 ice cubes, depending on your consistency preference
- 1 pinch of ground cinnamon
- Combine milk, protein powder, banana, almond butter, cinnamon and ice in a blender.
- Secure the top of the blender and blend on high for 1 minute or until there are no more chunks of ice.
- Pour into a glass. Enjoy!
